Where did the year go? It has been a busy year. As the weather has been good to us we are still running so no passenger figures for the year yet. We had a large number of successful school parties and private parties during the year, we hope to continue these in 2012.

We have been able to accomodate Wedding, Birthday and Retirement parties, what will we be asked for next? Our youngest passenger so far is 3 day old Niall, let us know if your child is younger. We don’t know the age of our oldest passenger as no one will own up.

Please be aware that photography is allowed at the railway so don’t be surprised to see cameras around. We also had tv cameras on site for a number of programmes so don’t forget hair and makeup lads!

Work has progessed well and we hope to be able to open the new section of line at the beginning of next season. Unfortunately this will mean a price increase to cover the cost of the steel for rails, and the stone for under the track. We also hope to run a steam engine regularly and this will involve additional costs. We will of course keep our costs as low as we can to encourage people to continue to support us. All income is put back into the running of the railway, there are no paid staff, we are all volunteers.

There are still bookings available for Santa Specials, please contact us on Sundays in person at the ticket office or on Sundays between 11:00 and 4:00 on 0756361403.

Please visit our website and look on Facebook for news on our opening date for 2012.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our passengers, our volunteers, and also Red Bullet who run our website.
